[Field Trip 2025] We have just returned from our field excursion across Saraburi, Phetchabun, Khon Kaen, Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Nakhon Ratchasima, where our students explored key geological localities ranging from Permian carbonate platforms, Triassic source rocks, Jurassic–Cretaceous fluvial systems, Cenozoic rift basins, to Quaternary fluvial deposits of the Mun River Basin.

Throughout the trip, students practiced real-world field skills — observing, sketching, describing outcrops, interpreting structural and stratigraphic relationships, and connecting surface geology with energy resources and CO₂ storage potential.
