MCES Alumni

The Milford Veterans Day Parade route ended with a special ceremony in Draper Park today! The weather could not have been better and the wind was a perfect touch! The ceremony marked not only the selfless service of all veterans, but also recognized some local veterans. One hundred US flags adorned the park, each one sponsored by a resident in honor of a loved one. Along with a brief presentation and a prayer for all veterans, the Milford High School (Massachusetts) Marching Band played the anthem for each branch of the military. We also had a very special 10-year-old, Sophia McClay, perform 'The Star Spangled Banner.' What a beautiful voice! Thanks to the Milford Corps of the Salvation Army for partnering with us for this very successful event honoring the best among us!

WOULDN’T YOU LOVE TO VISIT YOUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL? Milford Catholic Elementary (formerly Sacred Heart Grammar school) Reconnect and reminisce about the “good old days", tour the school, and review the memorabilia and photos on display.

A Mass planned for September 20th at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Milford will conclude the year-long anniversary celebration of “135 Years of Catholic Education in Milford and the 40th Anniversary of Milford Catholic Elementary School”. The Mass will be followed by a reception in the Bell Tower Room and tours of MCES. Alumni from Sacred Heart Elementary School, St. Mary’s Elementary School, St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, as well as alumni from MCES are cordially invited to this celebration. Sacred Heart Church and the Bell Tower Room are both handicapped accessible by an elevator, located between the school and the church at the base of the Bell Tower.

If you or your family members attended Catholic school in Milford, they have been looking for you! Come find your classmates and friends, reconnect and reminisce about the “good old days”, listen to the music of your youth, and review the memorabilia and photos on display.

They are excited and looking forward to seeing all of their alumni of MCES, Sacred Heart of Jesus School and Saint Mary’s Elementary and Central Catholic High Schools at our Alumni Banquet on April 11th at the Crystal Room, 49 Cedar St., Milford, MA. Tickets are $40 per person for a full course dinner featuring baked stuffed boneless breast of chicken. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door. Tables can be reserved.
