We've now entered the month of Halloween and it's time to get spooky!
All children are welcome to enter our challenge to make the spookiest Halloween wreath.
As we like to do at FOGS, this is a free to enter competition and there will be a spooktacular winning prize for each year group.
With the stormy weather this weekend why not get out those crafts and let your child(ren) get creative!

This was the last year for myself as Chair, and Helen as treasurer - we now hand over the reins to the rest of FOGS committee.

But as Helen and I say goodbye, we would like to thank everyone for supporting us and we leave you with our roundup of the 24/25 year in our newsletter.

We may have been one of the last schools in the country to have broken up... but we got there. 😁 It was wonderful to see so many people celebrating on the park after school on Tuesday and our y6 having a mega water fight 💧🎈 🔫

At FOGS HQ, like you, we'll be spending time with our families, but our newsletter 📰 will be sent out in a couple of weeks to share with you how much you have helped raise 💰, what we have funded 🤑 and a bit about the future of FOGS. 😁

Can you remember back to March 30th when the awesome Pippa and her mum, Nicole, ran 5km to raise money for FOGS and achieved an incredible £365? 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️💰

Given that she raised such a spectacular amount - we wanted this money to be visible for each class to recognise the power of fundraising - so FOGS topped that up (only by £10) and have given each class £75 to spend on their choice of goodies 😁

For some this will be craft items, maybe games, outdoor toys - or maybe even a foodie treat.

We will soon be sharing our end of year newsletter; so please read it, share it and help us continue building something that we can all be proud of. 😍

We hope everyone is looking forward to welcoming our visitors from Wonderdome tomorrow. 🎉😁

MINI SUMMER FAIR: 3:30pm – 5:00pm 🎉

A reminder that straight after school tonight we are hosting Gotham’s first mini summer fair – we may not be able to count on the weather, but we can hopefully count on your support! 🥳🙏

In school today we have Shooting Stars Circus Skills 🤹‍♂️🤹‍♀️and they are staying for the Summer Fair so your children can share with you what they’ve been learning and perhaps you can have a go 😁– at no charge, funded by FOGS.

Along with Circus Skills, we will have several stalls –

Guess the Weight of the Sweets 🍬
Play your Cards Right ♠️♥️♦️♣️
Fun Toys to purchase ⚽🎈👑
Refreshments 🍩☕🫖🥤🍪
And fingers crossed for no local emergencies so that the police and fire can attend. 🚓🚒

We had hoped to operate a token system and payments by card, but unfortunately this hasn’t been possible, so it will be CASH ONLY. 💰🪙💵

So even if the rain arrives - you can keep dry in the hall, be entertained and make memories! 😍

Class of 2025 Leavers
Last Saturday evening our amazing y6 class had their prom at Barton Village Hall – it was an amazing night, celebrating how much they have grown over the years and the future they hold in their hands.
CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2025 – Keep being awesome!

SPORTS DAY REFRESHMENTS 🥐☕🍪🧃

The weather is looking to be kind to us once again this year. 🌞
We will be selling refreshments in the morning (in the hall) whilst the children are getting ready:
Teas, coffees, a wide selection of soft drinks, water, pastries and biscuits/cookies.

***CASH ONLY – please bring change if possible*** 💰🪙

During the event, refreshments (except hot drinks) will be available on the field and there will be an honesty box to leave payment. We would just like to remind everyone that all money raised goes to school. 😁
