Yesterday the 7th and 8th graders got to experience an interactive workshop with Will Peters and Alicia Dick who combined brain science, rhythm, and real life experiences to explore how predictability and rhythm help people feel seen, heard, and like they belong.
Alicia shared how our brains and bodies naturally look for rhythm, repetition, and consistency to feel safe and connected. She connects this to school environments, showing how simple, predictable patterns can help students feel grounded and par of something bigger.
Will who is Ojibwe, shared his personal story of growing up in spaces that often felt unpredictable and disconnected, offering a powerful contrast to becomes possible when rhythm and connection are present.
A huge thank you to Alicia and Will for providing this experience to our kids! They were all engaged and active participants:)
