Super excited and always special to receive the most awaited book from my dearest writer friend, Sonal Singh.
The beautiful cover page instantly drew me in, and the moment I held the book in my hands, I could already feel the magic of the story waiting to unfold within its pages.
Some books arrive not just as stories, but as experiences, and this one already feels incredibly special

At Story Land Library, the little ones stepped into a world of folktale magic and fun!
Stories came alive through movement, sound, imagination, and togetherness ,making the space feel like a magical land where every voice mattered and every laugh became part of the tale. From tiny giggles to animated storytelling moments, every child became part of the story adventure.

Yesterday’s theme in the Summer Reading Challenge at Katha Karavan was “Read a Poem.”

And the poems chosen by the children truly left me awestruck.
Each one carried such depth, emotion, and meaning that it felt like peeking into their inner worlds.

Through their choices, I could see their growing understanding of themselves, their feelings, and the emotions that quietly live within all of us.
Some poems spoke of hope, some of loneliness, courage, friendship, nature, and dreams , but every selection reflected thoughtfulness far beyond their age.

It reminded me once again that children often understand emotions more deeply than we imagine; they simply express them in their own beautiful ways.
What a powerful day of reading, reflection, and connection it was

Folktales Fun at Storyland Library 📚✨

Little listeners, big imaginations!
The room came alive with rhythm, repetition, and the magic of timeless tales.
Giggles, echoes of repeated lines, and curious eyes made every moment special.

Stories were not just heard… they were felt, spoken, and joyfully lived. 💫

Late post though

The Katha Dhara event organized by Katha&Krafts was truly a beautiful and memorable experience. The showcases by SphoorthiTheatre Steparc and Bhoomika Theatre group were deeply engaging and captivating.

Children from various government schools participated with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The 31 Dosa puppet show, with its vibrant music and expressive puppetry, was absolutely extraordinary. Bhoomika Theatre added a unique charm by inviting the audience to become part of the story through rhythm and movement, creating an immersive experience.

It was heartening to see not just children, but adults too, completely involved and enjoying the performances.

The presence of the founders of Manchi Pustakam Publication and Bhoomika Theatre, along with other esteemed guests, added grace and significance to the occasion.

The event was thoughtfully and beautifully organized, creating a warm and inclusive space for everyone. I had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people like Gayatri Bhargavi garu and my favourite Padmini Rangarajan mam, and my Storytellers tribe Meghana Bommatanahalli Sailaja Vissamsetti garu and Supriya Baid . Kshamatha Mandhana Chepuri ,Harish and their team truly brought a delightful and warm experience to all of us.

It took almost a month to bring this together… filled with learning, rework, and even moments of strain. There were days of severe neck pain, but now, seeing the final outcome, my heart is full. And this is just the beginning...so many stories are waiting to come alive through these props
