Wouldn't it be great if there were only some technology that could pull carbon dioxide out of the air, provide cooling shade for everything around it, help stormwater infiltrate into the soil to prevent downstream flooding, and feed and shelter wildlife? Um that would be called A TREE. Grinnell College is working to turn campus into a digital arboretum so that everyone who is interested can learn about the tree species we have and the ecological benefits they give us!
Mapping Campus Trees, Virtually Campus trees are a beloved part of the Grinnell campus. They provide year-round beauty for us to enjoy and homes for squirrels, birds, and other wildlife.
