Today I did a one on one session with a client who had not shot his handgun in over a year. It was a hot one but fun and educational.

We were able to spend two hours at the range reviewing concealed carry laws, doing a concealed carry qualification. In addition, we added drawing from the holster in a seated position, rapid firing drills, spent time using our support hand to shoot and practiced loading a handgun with our support hand as well in case the right hand was injured. (Using dummy rounds).

We finished off with shooting some steel targets for instant gratification!

It’s been a busy three days. Firing range maintenance in extreme heat and then 3 CPR classes in the last two days.

Back to my full-time job to rest.

Last week, I completed a 3-day training session for a security company that covered CPR, de-escalation skills, expandable baton, handcuffing, Mass Casualty Incidents and weapon retention.

Today I qualified another person to apply for their Concealed Carry Handgun permit. Great student!!

I continue to travel and teach life saving skills. The last two weeks I was at NC A&T in Greensboro teaching students at medical camp. Then Wednesday this week we continued our relationship with the a food service in Liberty, NC training over 40 food service staff members who serve Toyota of North Carolina.
