CBM equips PNB-KGB cooperative with business planning skills

Carmen, Bohol - The College of Business and Management conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Business Planning last April 30, 2025, at the PNB-KGB Main Office in Carmen, Bohol. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of the PNB-KGB Cooperative members and local farmers in planning, strategizing, and executing viable business models for agri-enterprise development.

Aligned with BISU-Bilar Campus's commitment to agribusiness sustainability, the training aimed to equip cooperative members with practical knowledge and tools for creating and implementing business plans for agri-enterprise development. The program sought to introduce core concepts and benefits of business planning, guide participants in crafting business plan components using real farm-based examples, and facilitate hands-on application through group exercises and templates. A key objective was also to promote entrepreneurial thinking within the cooperative for income diversification.

The seminar's content comprehensively covered essential aspects of business planning, including an Introduction to Business Planning, and detailed discussions on the Key Elements of a Business Plan. Participants also engaged in a SWOT Analysis and received guidance on Financial Plan Preparation. A significant portion of the day was dedicated to a Workshop for Group Business Plan Drafting, followed by Presentations of Output and Coaching.

The training saw active participation from at least 8 PNB-KGB Cooperative Members and Farmers, 7 personnel from BISU Bilar's BA Department, selected student organization representatives (YES, PASOA, and JBEA), and Extension Staff. Post-activity evaluation forms were utilized to assess participant satisfaction, the program's effectiveness, and content relevance.
