What a wonderfully creative day in Reception! ✨
This morning, we joined a live webinar with the amazing Greg Bottrill for his ‘National Hairy Toe day’ 🦶🏼! After hearing Greg read ‘The Hairy Toe’ and exploring the story, the children were inspired to invent, create and draw their very own hairy toes, and their imaginations truly ran wild! We made hairy toe necklaces, drew and built homes and towns for our hairy toes and created hairy toe puppets!
The excitement lasted all day, and it was so special to see such enthusiasm and creativity flowing through the classroom. The children were so immersed and invested that they even carried on developing their ideas into our afternoon COOL time! ✂️👨🏾🎨✏️
Thank you so much Greg for such an inspiring session!! ✨

Today, Year 5 and Year 6 all took part in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workshop, focusing on how STEM is a huge part of our everyday lives and the opportunities that STEM can provide for our futures.
The children were so engaged throughout and asked some amazing questions!

You may remember a while ago Mosaic Group planted Grass heads. We didn't think they were growing, but we had a big surprise when we came back to school yesterday! They now all have really long hair!

Update on our capybara adventure 🐾💌
A little while ago, we shared how we wrote letters to Marwell Zoo about the missing capybara… and today we got the most exciting reply!! 🤍
Not only did they write back, but they sent a postcard AND the sweetest soft toy capybara 🥹 The children have officially named their new friend Samba, after the one who went missing.
Such a lovely surprise and a moment the kids won’t forget anytime soon ✨
Thank you so much for the kindness 💕
