What a cracking way to wrap up the year! Early this year, I had the absolute pleasure of helping Andrew Gill smash his way into the Queensland Fire Department.
Unfortunately I missed his graduation in May due to being away in Europe, and since we haven’t managed a proper catch-up, I made a commemorative plaque to celebrate his achievement. I was desperate to get it to him before the New Year, so he mentioned he’d "pop round" to pick it up.
I wasn't quite expecting him to show up with the full fire engine and his entire crew! Talk about making an entrance. It was brilliant to see him in his gear and meet the team. Huge congrats, mate—you’ve worked your socks off for this and you deserve every bit of it. Incredibly proud of you! 🚒🔥
