The Front and Center Theater Collaborative was formed to sustain and increase theatre education in the Culver City Unified School District
The Front and Center Theatre Collaborative has offered a variety of assemblies, residencies, workshops, professional development and opportunities to experience professional performances for all elementary and secondary students as well as teachers throughout the district. "FIND YOUR LIGHT features 31 participants from our Saturday Class for Teens and our Middle School Afterschool Program alongside 4 of The Actors’ Gang Education Department’s teaching artists.
In this original piece of theater, we look to a phone APP where we receive validation, inspiration, and companionship. Every Spring Break we celebrate and anticipate new updates to the APP, but sometimes technology doesn’t always work…
What happens when we come together to question our relationship to technology and realize it’s our humanity that matters more than anything else? Join us on a journey of creative voices discovering the value of true connection without the distraction of a handheld medium."

Culver City Volunteers needed!
One hour of sheer joy a week- for 9 weeks only.
Become a Mentor with Young Storytellers!
Wednesdays 12:45-1:45 at Linwood Howe, Tuesdays 1-2 at El Rincon/Farragut
(More days/times available in the area as well)
It only takes an hour a week, during your lunch break, to mentor a Young Storyteller. In the Script to Stage Program, 5th-grade students are given a mentor to work with them one-on-one as they imagine, develop, and write their own short screenplay. At the end of the program, Hollywood actors perform the students’ scripts at an in-school assembly, called the "Big Show."
We work with students who are not typically considered the "stars" of their class; English-language learners, children on the autism spectrum, who may be painfully shy, or who have difficulty seeing a project through to completion, and students whose parents don't have the money to pay for an arts activity. When these students walk down the red carpet and receive a standing ovation from their peers, it is a transformative, crucible moment in their development. From this experience, children learn that their voice matters.
