🎶 Let’s start on a high note this ! Mr. Dillard’s received lots of great things to keep his musicians organized and inspired: Two document sorters for sheet music and handouts, 40 ukulele hangers and identification numbers, strings, picks, sanitizer, and a series of inspirational posters in frames. 🎵

Let’s dive into with the Willing Whales! 🐋 Ms. Ciara and Ms. Jo say their students LOVE books on CD, so they added two more portable CD players to their collection. They also love to listen to books being read aloud. Whales received an assortment of Teach My Dragon books as well as Markers on Strike. These books teach executive skills and aid in creating the classroom family culture. They also got a pack of 48 cans of Play-Doh.

⛈️ Back-to-School Splash Update⛈️

Unfortunately, the current forecast isn’t looking too splash-friendly for Saturday. We’ve made the difficult decision to officially cancel our PTSO Back-to-School Splash at Wakulla Springs.

But we all know how quickly Florida weather can change! If Saturday ends up being a beautiful day, we hope families will still consider heading out to Wakulla Springs on their own. Throw on your school spirit wear, pack your swimsuits, and keep an eye out for other school families doing the same!

We’re bummed to cancel, but hopefully Mother Nature surprises us and there’s still a little unofficial Back-to-School Splashing on Saturday.

⭐ Welcome to ! Our Mini-Grant initiative is funded by our lunch and Fun Friday with Blaze Pizza programs (orders for the first week open this Friday). The money we raise through these programs is funneled back to our Safekeepers in the form of “Mini-Grants,” which is money they can use to purchase items for their classrooms such as books, furniture, and enrichment activities! Safekeepers will present their Mini Grants at a General Body Meeting, so be sure to come and check it out! ⭐
🦋 The Brilliant Butterflies used their Mini-Grant to purchase 15 student licenses to MobyMax ELA, which is a complete K-8 ELA curriculum including Reading, Early Reading, Phonics, Language, Vocabulary, Reading Skills, Fluency Games, and Writing. They plan to use MobyMax ELA for students who are substantially below incoming-grade-level reading expectations.
