ALTHOUGH WE CANNOT CHANGE THE SYSTEM, BUT WE CAN TRANSFORM IT
True Education trains the human mind how to live and think to solve problems. Unlike, what is happening in our present Academic System of Schooling and not Educating. That's why the System Breeds Memorizers instead of problem solvers; because the system teaches how to remember/memorize and not how to solve problems and be independent.
Ours has been and will henceforth intensify the integration of Schooling as is the norm and Education, breed a Productive, independent minded and Problems Solving Society.
HOW DO WE ACHIEVE IT?
This is why, we have limitations to what is to be taught (Curriculum) and How is to be taught (Methodology) in the school. We limit our curriculum to only:
1. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: because is the Lingua Franca; so must be learn to thrive
2. PHONICS: to prepare and equip the pupils with the rudiments of Effective Reading and Writing ability
3.MATHEMATICS: a science of numbers. Irrespective of your field or religion, you need mathematics to know it better. Is it in JURISPRUDENCE, (DIVORCE, ZAKAT, INHERITANCE) HADITH, SCIENCE OF QUR'AN etc
4. REASONING (VERBAL AND QUANTITATIVE): to train the youngsters on Creative and Critical thinking. To be equip with problems solving skills. To always have rationale thinking before making a judgement. Today's Interview and Aptitudes are all Measure of Reasoning Ability.
5. BASIC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: We are all product of nature, so must study nature, and understand nature
5. SOCIAL STUDIES: to live is to have misunderstanding, so we must teach the children how to appreciate diversity and preach the voice of unity through socialization and understanding of culture.
7. COMPUTER: the world now is a Global Village; everything is digital and things are moving at close to speed of light. To join the race is to embrace the technology of ICT
8. CREATIVE ART (DRAWING, PAINTING, CONSTRUCTION): all work without play, makes Jack a dull boy. We must instill in the mind of the learners how to appreciate the beauty of nature. An avenue to allow them voice out and reveal their God given talents. No child is a liability, unless if we don't know how to tap the talent.
Nothing More, nothing less. The aim is to breed Independent Employers and not Employees. Leaders and not Followers.
