The Cleveland Council of Black Colleges Alumni Association honors the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a towering figure in the Civil Rights Movement whose voice, courage, and conviction reshaped our nation.

From marching alongside Dr. King to founding the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Rev. Jackson dedicated his life to expanding opportunity, fighting voter suppression, advocating for economic justice, and demanding equity in education and employment. His work opened doors for generations, including many within our HBCU community.

As alumni of historically Black colleges and universities, we recognize the profound impact of his advocacy on access to education and the continued fight for social justice. His legacy reminds us that progress requires persistence, faith, and collective action.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who were inspired by his leadership.

May we honor him not only in words, but in continued service.
