We are always grateful for you, and the wonderful children and adults we have the privilege of working with - - but never more so than during this turbulent year. On this day of global giving and unity, we ask that you please support ATW as we work tirelessly to bring the community together through creativity by:

-working with our temporary housing facility partners in the Bronx to teach and feed homeless children at our Builders of the New World Holiday Class and Celebration for youth in December.

-giving talented, committed, altruistic people from across the U.S. and in NYC the opportunity to engage together, combat isolation and serve the community in our expanding, combination in-person and virtual volunteer program.

-teaching people creative techniques to change their energy, accept differences, and find their voice in a free, interactive class and lecture series, Coming Together Through Creativity, led by ATW’s founder Thurman E. Scott.

-safely updating and reopening our space to the public, as a home for arts organizations to do their work and community members to learn. The rental business helps us keep the doors open to the community and fund our programs.

As we prepare to welcome theatre and studio renters back into our creative home, we’re celebrating our deep commitment to .

We founded The Actors Theatre Workshop to provide a place for members of the creative community to gather, a home-like atmosphere for underserved youth, and means for expression for adults from all walks of life.

More than 30 years later, ATW is proud to reopen our doors to the public during a time when these elements are most.

For the performers excited to return to the stage, for BNW students like Kelly who know it’s important to be kind to one another and tell the truth, for creatives and executives who are ready to get back to in-person business - ATW is here for you. And we thank you, for being here for us.

When Thurman E. Scott founded The Actors Theatre Workshop in 1990, he envisioned greater possibilities for society’s children, creatives, and for the community. Today that vision is stronger than ever, but in a post-pandemic world, circumstances are even more dire.

Last year 87% of school budget cuts came from high-need districts and there are currently 114,000 students in NYC living in temporary housing. The loss of our space would be a devastating blow to the populations we serve.

S*x is learnable and teachable! Would you see a s*x and relationship coach?

HERE SHE COMES is a fictional TV series (in development) about two experiential s*x coaches — inspired by the life and work of veteran s*x coaches and founders of the Somatica Institute for S*x and Relationship coaching. Writer/Director Jessica Habie was a trainee at the Somatica Institute when inspiration struck to create a television show about s*x coaching, using C + D's methods and principles as a guide for exploration.

Celeste and Danielle have improved the s*x lives of thousands — HERE SHE COMES intends to do the same.

Each episode features a different client struggling with s*xual challenges and our two detectives are iconoclastic women with an erotic touch and an exquisite knowledge of the s*xual psyche.
