Fun on 2 wheels! Also suited to children who are unable to receive this experience through school.
This is a page for those who love the great outdoors, enjoy exercise, or perhaps would like to lose a little weight, but are not as confident as you would like to be on 2 wheels!
Hi. I have some brand new cycle helmets. Never been used. Boxed etc. An ideal Christmas present. See my next post. ☝️

Cycle training is an essential aspect of cycling, especially for those who are new to cycling or have not ridden a bicycle in a long time. It is a program designed to teach people how to ride a bicycle safely and confidently, and to improve their cycling skills.
Cycle training courses are typically run by qualified instructors who teach cyclists the basic skills needed to ride a bike, such as balancing, steering, braking, and changing gears. They also teach cyclists how to navigate busy roads, how to use cycle lanes, and how to interact with other road users, such as pedestrians and motor vehicles.
Cycle training is important for several reasons. Firstly, it helps to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries. By teaching cyclists how to ride safely and confidently, they are less likely to be involved in accidents or collisions on the road. This is particularly important for children, who are more vulnerable to accidents than adults.
Secondly, cycle training helps to promote a healthy lifestyle. Cycling is a great form of exercise that can help improve cardiovascular health, promote weight loss, and reduce stress. By teaching people how to cycle safely and confidently, cycle training can encourage more people to take up cycling as a regular form of exercise.
Finally, cycle training can help to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution. By encouraging more people to cycle to work or school, cycle training can help to reduce the number of cars on the road, which in turn can help to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution.
In conclusion, cycle training is an important aspect of cycling that can help improve safety, promote a healthy lifestyle, and reduce traffic congestion and air pollution.

SCHOOLS BIKEABILITY TRAINING
Due to Covid-19 we have not been able to visit schools this term to deliver our Bikeability course to Yr 5 and some Yr 6s, as these year groups have been in Lockdown. As a result, these children have lost a valuable life skill learning experience.
However, we at NELCT have decided to offer a Summer School to deliver the Bikeability course and award to children in the Grimsby area on a first come, first served basis.
The course will take around 4.5hrs to complete (2 days in school), depending on numbers.
Parents - do let me know if this is of interest. Again, I am prioritising current Yr 5 children. Also, due to Covid-19, the child must be able to ride a bike independently, as personal contact for assistance will not be possible!
