On February 14, 1916, Phi Sigma Pi was founded at State Teachers College at Warrensburg, Missouri. The three founders, Dr. Eldo L. Hendricks, Dr. Claude A. Phillips, and Dr. Clarence H. McClure, decided that Phi Sigma Pi would stress not only scholarship, leadership, and fellowship, but also do so in a concept of a tripod dedicated equally to these three ideals. Did you know PSP's Founders Day is February 14th?! The same day as Valentine's Day!!!
This Founders Day, we celebrated by making handmade cards and envelopes for those we appreciate most--- our Friends,Brothers, Professors, and Staff Members!!! 🌈🥰

This weeks brother of the week is Ilga Rutins! Ilga is a junior biochem major who joined PSP in the spring of 2018. She is a PR and alumni relations committee head who is also part of the chamber singers on campus. In her free time she likes to knit while watching TV and petting cats.

This weeks brother of the week is Gabby Sallai, a senior physics and women and gender studies joint major who joined PSP in the spring of 2016! Gabby is also a member of Kappa Delta and works as a physics TA and in the admissions office. She can say the alphabet backwards, but Penn state didn’t know that when they admitted her to their graduate program for mechanical engineering!

This weeks brother of the week is Ahmed Barakat, a junior Biology major and Anthropology minor who joined PSP in the fall of 2017. Ahmed has held multiple roles in PSP but is currently the initiate advisor. Along with PSP Ahmed is also in Harbaugh club, the Catastrophic Relief Alliance, Interfaith Student Council and the Environmental Migration lab! He is from Alexandria Egypt and enjoys voice acting and learning languages!

This weeks brother of the week is Emily Ly!! Emily is a junior Biology major who joined PSP in the spring of 2018. Emily is the historian of our chapter, vice president of the Asian American Alliance, secretary of Define America, and in the Dance Company where she is working on Latin based and hip hop pieces this semester! She’s teaching herself how to play the ukulele and loves doing sudoku puzzles!

This weeks brother of the week is Tina Gabounia! Tina is a junior Biochem major and Spanish minor who joined PSP in a the spring of 2018. Tina is the secretary of PSP, but also sings in the chorus and does independent research in the Chem department. Tina is obsessed with llamas and alpacas, English is technically her second language, and she had a brief moment of vine fame in high school!

This weeks brother of the week is Sam! Sam is a junior and a creative writing and psychology major who joined PSP during the spring semester of her freshman year! In PSP Sam is the co-chair of the Philanthropy committee, outside of PSP, she is in F&M players, Harbaugh club, and in the Writers house commune. In her (limited) free time she writes, sings, and is learning to play the guitar.

This weeks brother of the week is Emily Kapner, a Sophomore Government and Psychology double major who joined PSP in the fall of 2018!! Emily is part of MUS, Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Philharmonia, ultimate frisbee, and is the president of the Environmental Action Alliance!
Fun fact: Emily is from Massachusetts but was born in Switzerland 🇨🇭

The brother of the week is Jared Silberglied! Jared is a Gov major class of 2020 who joined PSP in the spring of his freshman year. He is the co-chair of the philanthropy committee in PSP, Treasurer for players, and the director of this spring's broadway r***e. Because of his time commitments, the only hobby he has time for this semester is sleeping!
