The Society for Experiential Education is excited to spotlight our keynote speaker for the inaugural IGNITE Regional Collaborative: Dr. Erica Clark.

As Director of Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr. Clark brings a powerful blend of lived experience, scholarship, and practice. Known for her authentic leadership and engaging presence, she creates spaces where participants donโ€™t just listen โ€“ they reflect, engage, and take action.

Her work focuses on:

Exciting update about the Society for Experiential Education's upcoming Student Insights & Experiences from the Field panel. There will now be student representatives from four different institutions: Clemson University, University of Nebraska at Omaha, The University of Georgia, and Boston University. Student speakers include:

โ—ผ๏ธ Holly Hessner - Boston University; Advisor - Erin Salius

Holly Hessner is a senior majoring in Political Science. She has interned extensively for political campaigns, at various government offices, and for law firms. On the federal level she interned for three members of Congress and on national campaigns. Earlier this year, she co-founded a non-profit in Long Island dedicated to getting young people involved in civic life. As a result of her work, this semester, she was invited by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to a roundtable conversation about getting out the vote.

โ—ผ๏ธNagesh Paluskuru - University of Nebraska at Omaha; Advisor - Julie Dierberger, Ph.D.

Nagesh is a graduate student who is doing meaningful work developing predictive analytics for school districts about dropout. He also is a graduate assistant in the Office of Engagement and Service-Learning Academy and works with faculty members from UNO and P-12 schools to implement service-learning course work. He just won a campus-wide research award for his poster about his experiential learning research.

โ—ผ๏ธHarshil Joshi - The University of Georgia; Advisor - Andrew Potter

Harshil is from Leesburg, GA and is majoring in Regenerative Bioscience. He is passionate about innovating the medical field through strategic health initiatives and the development of novel therapeutics. On campus, he is actively involved with several organizations, including the Thomas Lay After School Program, the UGA Kickstart Fund, and Stethoscope Magazine. Outside of academics, Harshil enjoys working out, reading, listening to music, gardening, and hiking.
