Fruitvale FFA is proud of Kenley Akins for competing this morning at the Area 6 FFA Speaking Contest in the Animal Science category in Mt. Pleasant!

Kenley placed 4th out of 7 outstanding speakers from across the area. While only the 1st place winner advances to the state contest, we are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and courage she showed throughout this competition season.

Yesterday was a busy one for Fruitvale FFA! Between having a booth at the career fair, celebrating our students at the banquet, and preparing floral arrangements for prom this weekend, our students have truly been nonstop.

I am so proud of our students and their ability to successfully execute multiple events all in one day while still creating such beautiful work. Their creativity, teamwork, and dedication continue to impress me every single day.

These students are learning so much more than floral design. They are learning responsibility, time management, communication, and how to rise to the occasion when things get busy. We can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing arrangements they’ve created for prom!

Our Fruitvale FFA Officers are set up and ready for the Career Fair today! We are excited to introduce junior high and high school students to the many opportunities available through our agricultural pathways. From animal science and floral design to ag mechanics and leadership development, there is something for everyone in agricultural education.

We can’t wait to visit with students and help them discover all the possibilities that come with being part of Fruitvale FFA! 💙💛

Huge congratulations to Kenley Akins on earning 1st Place in Senior Prepared Public Speaking – Animal Science at the Mineola District Contest! 🥇🎤

She will now advance to the Area Contest on May 16th, where she’ll compete for a spot at the State Contest—let’s cheer her on as she continues this journey! 💙💛

Due to the forecast of rain throughout the day, we will unfortunately need to **cancel our plant sale scheduled for tomorrow (Friday)**.

We want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, and the weather just isn’t cooperating this time.

🌱 **Good news!** We will be **rescheduling the plant sale**, and the new date will be posted soon—so stay tuned!
