" फादर स्टॅन स्वामी... द्वितीय पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त विनम्र अभिवादन !!
काल दिनांक ६ जुलै २०२३रोजी मानवाधिकार व आदिवासी समाजाच्या हक्कांसाठी आजन्म लढलेल्या फादर स्टॅन स्वामी यांची द्वितीय पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त आमच्या सेंट झेवियर्स विद्यालय , गेवराई शाळेचे मुख्याध्यापक रेव्ह. फा. पीटर खंडागळे यांच्या हस्ते फा. स्टॅन स्वामी यांच्या प्रतिमेचे पूजन करून त्यांना अभिवादन करण्यात आले. याप्रसंगी शाळेतील सहशिक्षक श्री विनोद सर यांनी मनोगताच्या माध्यमातून स्टॅन स्वामी यांच्या कार्याला व आठवणींना व्यक्त करताना आदिवासींच्या जीवनात सुख समाधान रहावे. यासाठी चालणाऱ्या आंदोलनाला पाठिंबा देणारे व शक्य ती मदत करणारे फादर स्टॅन स्वामी याचे कार्य विद्यार्थ्यांना सांगितले . ८४ वर्षे वयाच्या या माणसांची केंद्र व राज्य सरकारला भीती वाटली. आणि म्हणून न्यायालयही जामीन नाकारते !
तसेच येशू संघीय कार्य, मानवाधिकार, आदिवासी, लोकांच्या समस्या, भीमा कोरेगाव मधील दंगलीला जबाबदार असल्याचे सांगून राज्य व केंद्र सरकार ने काही लोकांना अटक करून तुरुंगात डांबले आहे. दीर्घ काळ तुरुंगात टाकले पण आरोपपत्र दाखल केलेले नाही .त्यातील एक ज्येष्ठ नागरिक फादर स्टेन यांच्या जामीन अर्जाची सुनावणी होती. सुनावणी चालू असताना स्टेन फादरचा मृत्यू झाल्याचे फादरच्यावकिलाने न्यायालयाला सांगितले !
आदिवासींची जल ,जंगल व जमीन वाचवण्यासाठी चालू असलेल्या आंदोलनात फादर स्टॅन स्वामी सहभागी होते. आदिवासींच्या प्रश्नांचा फा. स्टेन यांचा अभ्यास सखोल होता आदिवासींच्या हक्कासाठी लढत असलेल्या
