Yesterday, 38 Year 10 students visited Emmanuel College at University of Cambridge for an aspirational day. They enjoyed a tour of the College, lunch and completed a workshop helping them understand what they need to consider when thinking of going to University.

Today we welcomed 12 local business people from a variety of industries to work with our Year 10 Business students on our annual Business Enterprise Challenge.
Students had to come up with an innovative solution to helping issues in the community using technology.
Both Students and Mentors loved the day which was wrapped up with brilliant presentations by the teams of students on their ideas

Earlier this week, Year 8 visited to look at the careers involved in working at a farm and to see some rare and native species, linked with biodiversity as part of their science lessons

This morning we bid farewell to our Year 11s. Photos were taken, shirts signed, and tears shed but we could not have been more proud of their hard work over the past 5 years.

It’s been great to have in this week working with our Year 10 Business students, running a workshop on Marketing to prepare them for their next piece of coursework!
Students were tasked with creating a 30 second radio ad!

45 Year 10 students had the opportunity to visit Ypres in Belgium and The Somme in France over the 9th-10th May as part of their History HCSE. They visited numerous World War One memorials and had the chance to experience what life in the trenches would have been like at Sanctuary Wood trench experience. A great time was had by all and the students represented the school impeccably.

Yesterday FixUp Seminars came in and delivered an aspirational and motivational presentation to our Year 10 students based around resilience and self belief that I can achieve my goals for the future

Yesterday 47 Year 9 students had the opportunity to visit the University of Essex to find out more about why they should consider the opportunity of going to university in the future. In addition they participated in a taster subject lesson delivered by a Biodiversity lecturer and had a tour of the University.
