Update from Sir Ashraf Ali Naz about departed members and teachers.
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Sir Ashraf Ali Naz has updated us about the sad demise of our valued members and teachers:
• Mrs. Shenaz - Teacher at Irum Children Palace
• Mrs. Anjum Salam - Teacher at Sadaf Academy
• Haji Mushtaq Jonijo - Member of Lyari Foundation
Dua is the best gift we can give them now.
May Allah (SWT) grant them the highest place in Jannah and shower His mercy upon them. Every prayer we make for them reaches them and benefits us as well.
Please take a moment to recite Surah Al-Fatiha for the departed souls and make dua for the health of those who are ill.
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ
(O Allah, forgive them and have mercy upon them)
We also request your prayers for all who are unwell.
May Allah grant them complete healing and relief from their ailments.
JazakAllah Khair

It is with heavy hearts that I share some sad news I learned during a recent conversation with our respected principal, Sir Ashraf Ali Naz.
We have lost seven valued members of our school community:
• Madam Abida Salam- Head Mistress Sadaf Academy
• Sir Mallick Saeed - Chief Advisor Lyari Foundation
• Sir Saleem Raza - administrator and my beloved teacher, whose guidance I was privileged to receive
• Mohammad Qassim Kapai - Patron in chief, Lyari Foundation
• Madam Rahat Nawab - Headmistress Nizam Memorial Academy
• Mrs. Bilquees - teacher
• Miss Anila - teacher
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
(Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return)
I humbly request all members to please recite Fatiha for them and remember them in your prayers.
May Allah grant them Jannat-ul-Firdaus and elevate their ranks.
The knowledge they imparted and the lives they touched remain as Sadqa Jariya for them.
To all the teachers who shaped us - thank you. May Allah bless you abundantly in this life and the Hereafter.
JazakAllah Khair

Last week, I had a call with Sir Ashraf Ali Naz.
And trust me — something special is coming for all Lyari Foundation School alumni and teachers.
Sir will be visiting Pakistan soon and wants to host a meetup or award ceremony for everyone who was once part of this journey.
But before that, he wants to know where you are now...your qualification and current profession.
I know some of you, especially our female alumni, may not feel comfortable sharing details publicly.
That’s why, on Sir’s suggestion, I’ve created a private group... Lyari Foundation Schools. (Group Link in comments)
It’s a safe space for every student and teacher to reconnect, share their stories, and celebrate what these schools built in us.
Once you join, please introduce yourself and tell us what you’ve been up to.
And if you know others from our schools, invite them too.
This is the only official group for all Lyari Foundation alumni and teachers — the place where our story continues. 💙
