While Born to Do Science Kentuckiana is on a temporary hiatus, there are many science opportunities for kids in the Kentuckiana area! Check out the Great Big Science To Do - Sensational temporary exhibit at the Kentucky Science Center!

The first floor gallery will be home for a full month of hands-on activities for the whole family that will tickle, treat, tease and test your senses. Get your brain into the action with experiences that challenge and delight.

While there aren't any more BtDSKentuckiana events scheduled for the calendar year, there is still great science fun to be had in the Kentuckiana area. Are your kids in Middle School? Sign them up for the "Choose Your Own Science Adventure" at the Louisville Science Center, Sunday Nov 18, 2-4 pm. Free for members, only $2 for non-members!

Flyer for November 2012 BtDS Kentuckiana

The November Born to Do Science Kentuckiana event will be on Saturday, November 3, from 1-2:30 pm in the Strassweg Auditorium at the New Albany Floyd County Public Library. Dr. Aimee Adam, Psychology Professor at Indiana University Southeast, will present "Best Friends with Harry Potter". She will talk about what it means to be a social scientist, and about her research on why we often form friendships with characters from books and TV shows, just as we do with people we know.
There will be a fun science demonstration, a science discussion, a chance to meet a real scientist, and a hands-on craft.
The program is appropriate for ages 9 and up. Call the Children's Department at 812-949-3528 to register.

Save the date! The last BtDSK event of the year will be on Saturday, November 3, at 1pm. The topic? Harry Potter! More details to come...

Remember, October Born to Do Science is today at 1pm! To try and avoid the parade traffic, stay away from the east end of New Albany, from NAHS to the Carnegie Center.
