Our boar Duke lost one of his tusks today. Seems he's due for a big pay out from the tooth fairy.

Chester would like to remind you all to take sometime to enjoy life's little luxuries today. We're oh so happy to be able to watch this guy grow up and enjoy his life at Tinhorn Farm. Love to see our piglets going off to great homes!

Roxy's piglets arrived earlier this week! We're so excited to watch these little ones frolic around the farm all summer.

Thanks to all who entered our poll and congrats to our student worker Finn who guessed the correct date and was only off by one piglet. Wowzah you're a good pig assesor!

Consider following Humans of Hampshire College. We love how they showcase such a diverse sampling of our community and all the amazing work they're doing.

Repost — Hampshire College
“Hampshire College has been quite a journey. I am in my Div III, working on a project focusing on the Maine lobster industry through music and photography. One of the best parts of my Div III was spending a day on a lobster boat out of Camden, Maine. The College has helped me in so many ways to achieve my goals and to be where I am now. Hampshire has amazing photo and music facilities. Faculty have never stopped pushing me forward, to help me meet my goals, especially professors from the photo and music program. Hampshire has given me the opportunity to take on personal projects that I may not have had the chance or courage to try elsewhere. I created Humans of Hampshire College as my way of giving back to the College, showcasing the many different lives on campus through students, faculty, staff, and alumni stories—even Five College stories, too! Hampshire allows me to attend classes and use the resources at the Five Colleges, which has been one of the major factors in my learning experience.” — Dmitry Pepper 16F Dmitry Pepper

Did you know that pigs make great teaching tools?

Student Sadie and Assistant Manager of Livestock April recently did a presentation at the Natural Science Department's Fantastic Friday Talk. The subject of the presentation was pig breeding and reproduction.
