On the auspicious eve of Diwali, Sahodaya Complex N.C.R (East) organized a magnificent cultural celebration at Modern School, Greater Noida, graced by eminent principals and academicians from across the region.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati by Dr. Deepti Sharma, Chairperson, Sahodaya N.C.R (East) & Principal, Pragyan Public School, Jewar; Ms. Neetu, Principal, Modern School, Greater Noida; along with other distinguished educationists. Mr. Sandeep Mittal, Mentor, Sahodaya NCR East, inspired everyone with a heartfelt message on unity, positivity, and the true essence of Diwali.
The celebrations began with a Kavi Sammelan (poetic symposium), where academicians and scholars enthralled the audience with soulful and creative verses. The stage then came alive with vibrant dance performances and melodious musical renditions, adding to the festive charm of Diwali.

The Sahodaya School Complex (NCR-East) successfully organized the Education Conclave 2025, highlighting the FLN, STEAM & Skill Expo cm Awards, on 6th September 2025 at The Manthan School, Noida. The theme of the event was “From Fundamentals to Future”.
Event Highlights
1. Stall Preparation and Expo Visit
The event commenced with the preparation of FLN, STEAM & Skill Expo stalls (8:30 am – 9:30 am) by participating schools as per the given guidelines. SahodayaPrincipals and jury members visited the stalls (9:30 am – 10:30 am), appreciating the innovative models and creative presentations.
2. Arrival and Inauguration
After high tea (10:30 am – 11:00 am), the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Special Guests arrived, including: - - Sh. R.P. Singh – Joint Secretary, Skill Education, CBSE (Guest of Honour) - Ms. S. A welcome song and cultural programme was presented by the students of The Manthan School (11:40 am – 12:00 noon). Dr. Deepti Sharma (President, Sahodaya NCR East) shared invaluable insights on Sahodaya’s vision (12:20 pm). Dr. Gunjan Attri (Secretary, Sahodaya NCR East) presented a brief report on the activities of Sahodaya (12:25 pm). Gratitude to jury members was extended by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.
5. Words of Inspiration
Mr. Sandeep Mittal (Mentor, Sahodaya NCR East) shared insights on FLN, STEAM, and Skill Education for the 21st century. Sh. R.P. Singh (Joint Secretary, Skill CBSE) motivated the gathering with words of encouragement. Ms. S. Dharini Arun (Regional Director, CBSE Noida) spoke on futuristic thoughts in education.Dr. Nishi Phogat enlightened the audience on FLN and STEAM education. Mr. Indra Narayan Das (National Head-Circulation, Hindustan Times, Delhi NCR) presented his perspective on educational initiatives.

6th September 2025: The Educational Conclave 2025: FLN, STEAM & Skill Expo with Teachers’ Felicitation, based on the theme “From Fundamentals to Future”, was organized under the aegis of the Sahodaya School Complex NCR (East) at The Manthan School, Greater Noida (West). The conclave celebrated the unwavering commitment of educators in implementing CBSE’s pioneering initiatives, particularly in FLN, STEAM and Skill Education. Teachers were felicitated under various categories for their outstanding contributions. A total of 75 Principals from across NCR (East) and over 250 teachers attended the event.

Day 6: Departure from Paro (29th May)
The Bhutan journey was a remarkable step in shaping responsible global citizens through experiential and collaborative learning.

The Bhutan journey marked a remarkable step in shaping responsible global citizens through experiential and collaborative learning under the mentorship of Mrs. Shashi Bhadauria, coordinator of the UNESCO Club India. The event was a true reflection of the collective educational vision of Sahodaya Complex NCR East under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Deepti Sharma. The trip concluded with reflection and closing remarks, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

Day 5: Paro (28th May)
The highlight of the day was the hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang) by 9 enthusiastic young members of the group, a breathtakingly beautiful and sacred site. The team of other five members visited the National Museum of Bhutan and the Zong of Paro, the beautiful fort which is also the seat for the district’s administration, gaining insights into the country's rich history, culture and architecture.

Day 4: Punakha to Thimphu (27th May)
The team enjoyed cultural sightseeing en route, with evening leisure and cultural discussions. This day allowed for reflection and sharing of experiences, deepening the team's understanding of Bhutan's culture. The visit to Sitting Buddha Point was another cherishing experience. It was a pious day where around fifty thousand Buddhist monks and devotees gathered to attend the religious discourse of the Je Khenpo, the highest religious authority in Bhutan. He is considered the Chief Abbot of the Central Monastic Body and is the leader of Bhutan's state monk body, known as Zhungdratshang. The rhythmic Buddhist chants in baritone voice echoed through the serene beauty of the place making the day more auspicious.
The Thimphu trip concluded with a wonderful cultural show of Bhutan’s festive dances of different regions. The yak in the show was the centre of attraction. After the show the dancers and the delegates danced together with the Bollywood songs. The heartbreaking goodbye from the hotel crew left a lasting impact on all participants.

Day 3: Thimphu (26th May)
The team visited the amazing Dechencholing Higher Secondary School, interacted with Bhutanese educators and students, and took a tour to this excellent inclusive school. Dr. Deepti Sharma and Mrs. Smita Mishra delivered a presentation on Sahodaya's educational philosophy of school collaborations and the recent changes in Indian national education policy. The Principal of the school expressed his gratitude to India for supporting Bhutan in every way. His 30 minute speech highlighting the glory of Indian history, courage and chivalry, religious and educational contributions to the world and culture of unity in diversity brought tears of happiness in the eyes of all delegates. After the school program we went to Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in 1974 to honour the third Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.
After that the delegates explored local markets and culture. This day was filled with enriching experiences, allowing the team to immerse themselves in Bhutan's unique educational system and vibrant culture.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha (25th May)
The scenic drive via Dochula Pass offered breathtaking views. The team visited Punakha Dzong and Suspension Bridge, marveling at the stunning architecture and serene surroundings. This day showcased Bhutan's natural beauty and rich heritage. At Punakha, Mrs. Chuni arranged for a village home visit and plantation marking the celebration with cake cutting and tea party at the village home.

Strengthening Educational & Cultural Ties with Bhutan- Sahodaya School Complex NCR East.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Thimphu (24th May)
The team arrived at Paro International Airport from New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport in the afternoon. After a warm welcome by Mr. Jimmy and Mr. Tshering, team members of the tour operator, the group proceeded to Thimphu. Despite the unexpected delay in processing the fourteen visas, the team boarded the bus for Thimphu around 7 pm. The day concluded with a welcoming ceremony, brief orientation and tasty Indian food served at dinner.

Strengthening Educational & Cultural Ties with Bhutan

A landmark event was successfully conducted under the banner of Sahodaya Complex NCR East in collaboration with Delhi-NCR UNESCO CLUB, with Bhutan serving as the symbolic gateway to educational harmony and cultural collaboration. The event brought together visionary school leaders and educators from 14 reputed schools to share, reflect, and collaborate on advancing holistic and global education.

The Journey Begins

The six-day educational tour, led by Dr. Deepti Sharma, Principal of Prayan Public School, Jewar and President of Sahodaya Complex NCR East, emphasized sustainable travel, cultural immersion, and educational enrichment. The team arrived at Paro International Airport on May 24th, where they were warmly received by two team members Mr. Jimmy and Mr. Tshering of the tour operator Mrs. Chuni.

Exploring Bhutan's Cultural Heritage

The itinerary was packed with exciting experiences, including visits to Dechencholing School, Punakha Dzong, and the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang). The team also explored local markets, interacted with Bhutanese educators, and participated in cultural discussions. 24th April 2025: In a solemn and deeply moving ceremony, organized under the flagship of the Sahodaya School Complex NCR (East), schools united to express heartfelt condolences for the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed 26 innocent lives and left many injured.

Schools including Pragyan Public School, Jewar; Mother Divine International School, Neemka; Saint Hood Convent School, Dadri; Alpine Public School, Khurja; Noida Educational Academy; CLM Public School, Greater Noida; Karl Huber School, Noida; Grads International School, Greater Noida; Jagran Public School, Noida; and B.K. Senior Secondary School, Jahangirabad stood together in silent prayer, honoring the memory of the departed.

Candlelight tributes, soulful prayers, and messages of peace echoed the collective hope for healing and harmony in the wake of this senseless tragedy.
