Wow, our students really represented at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Region II Student Conference! They made seven presentations and won awards in three categories. Reed Antonich, Jarrett Elrod, Ethan Hunt, David Lomonte, William McCormick, Amanda Noori, Jesse Nyffenegger and Siliviu Solomon took home second prize in the highly competitive Technical Paper—Team category for their paper “High Altitude/Mach Rocket,” based on their student design project. Archit Srivastava was recognized with a first place prize for his presentation on the Florida Tech AIAA student branch’s community outreach efforts. Sean Dungan and Kevin Fernandez won first prize in the Regional Design Team category for their project “Florida Tech—Design/Build/Fly.”

2019 Region II Student conference will be co-hosted by AIAA Florida Tech & Embry-Riddle AIAA right in our backyard at Coco Beach April 4th-5th!!
Its a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Senior Design Teams, to present their research to their peers and professional members from industry.

This is a reminder that we'll be kicking off our RC 101 workshop today at our general meeting @ 6 pm in Evans Library P133. These workshops are designed to be no longer than 20 min & building material is provided! All that's required is to remember to bring yourself, your roommates, your friends & their friends to tinker along and channel your inner Engineer!
