Attention to all accredited student political party lists and to all aspiring candidates for this year’s student election season!

As per the advisory of the Student Development Activities Office (SDAO), the three (3) accredited party lists have to release and submit the roster of aspiring candidates within their party list for this year’s student election season.

Good day, Nationalian Community!

It has come to the attention of the NU-CSE that some aspiring candidates for this year’s student election are residing in provinces and far-flung areas. With this, the members of the Commission body have decided to allow a proxy or a representative to submit their certificate of candidacy at the campus instaed of them.

With the signature of the candidates, which will be done upon the submission of their COCs (as explained in an earlier post), the Commission also decided to allow an e-signature to be sent by the candidate to the person who will submit their COC, instead of the in-person signing of the document.

This is a joint decision made by the members of the National University Commission on Student Election (NU-CSE). For any clarifications and inquiries, send us an email at [email protected] and kindly state your main inquiry in the subject line of the email.

A pleasant day, Nationalians!

Below are the procedures to be undertaken by those who are interested to file certificate of candidacy in this academic year’s NUSG and Student Council elections.

This year, the Commission body have arrived at a decision to proceed to the on-site or face-to-face submission of the running candidates’ certificate of candidacy. The officer-members deemed it necessary as not only it will elicit more of the Commission body’s function but also, it will serve as a preparation for the possible resumption of face-to-face classes.

Also, in light of the fast approaching filing period for the certificate of candidacy (COC), below is the copy of the official COC formulated by the NU-CSE for this academic year's student elections.

An important reminder from the Commission body: the candidate should sign the COC upon his/her submission at the SDAO Office.

Good day, Nationalians!

Below is the revised Student Election Code, which serves as the foundation of the by-laws and policies concerning any electoral process within National University-Manila.

For this year, the Code undergone amendments to some provisions, particularly those of the colleges who will be participating the student elections, appointment by college student councils, further strengthening the essence and purpose of NU-CSE BEIs and Commissioners, eligibility requirements, and so on.

As the student election and campaigning is about to start, the Commission body believes that pushing for amendments like of these are integral for NU-CSE to maintain its goal to secure clean and transparent electoral processes between Nationalians who aspires to run for a position in the National University Student Government (NUSG) and/or College Student Councils and those who are placing their votes to who they believe best fits the job.
