Woosekwan

Woosekwan Woosekwan Taekwondo Association Inc. (WOOSEKWAN) is an independent, non-profit Taekwondo organizatio

The word "Woosekwan" is actually a conjunction of words made up of the Korean terms “Woose” which is mainly used in Taekwondo sparring competition to declare one fighter the winner of a match based on superiority and “Kwan” (Hanja: 館; Hangul: 관) in Korean literally means building or hall, but when used in martial arts it can also refer to a school or clan of martial artists who follow the same sty

le and/or leader. When combined these words can be loosley translated as "School of Superiority". Within Woosekwan, the word "Superiority" not only refers to fighting prowess but, to a positive state of mind. We have always strived stay “superior” to negativity, practice “superior” teaching methods and develop “superior” techniques and tactics. In short we at the Woosekwan approach each task with a superior attitude.
