We are delighted at the Centre for Co-operative Studies to collaborate with ECOLAND Cambodia in contributing to the development and transformation of the agricultural co-operative sector in Cambodia. Thanks to all the co-operatives and community groups (Barryroe Co-operative, Drinagh Co-operative, Kilnamartyra Machinery Co-op, Ring of Kerry Lamb, South Kerry Development Partnership) and all the farmers (John O'Brien, Peter Hynes, Paula Hynes, Marguerite Crowley, Denis Carroll, Tim Coffey, Patrick McSweeney and John Wood) and co-operative experts (Daragh Walsh, Dr. Michael Keane, Ted O'Sullivan, Dr Micheal O Farthartaigh, John Brosnan, Dr. Ray O'Connor) and Ireland's bioregional expert (Sarah Prosser) who gave generously of their time during the Cambodian Team (Dr. Asikin Yoeu; Dr. Samnang Nguon; Mr. Sorith Hou; Ms. Dany Meas) visit to Ireland. Hopefully, all the insights gained will contribute to the further development of the agricultural co-operative sector in Cambodia. Delighted too to have our Cambodian diplomat Kimsor Oeng on the ground here in Ireland to ensure that continued partnership between Ireland and Cambodia - two small countries with a shared history of resilience. Thanks to the Embassy of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos for funding this collaboration.
