A yearly 3rd grade tradition. Writing positive messages and creating pictures with colored chalk on the sidewalk leading to RVE for students to read on the last day of school. The sunshine really helped with the inspiration.

After reading the book “If I Built a School” student groups collaborated to design and build their dream school. Groups made specific rooms in their school and labeled what each room was. A lot of creativity and a limitless budget made it easy. Bravo 3rd graders!

Success comes in many forms. The “End of the Year Circle of Pringles Challenge” proved to be a tough one. Student groups worked together to construct their Pringles in the shape of a circle without collapsing. Some groups succeeded and some groups did not, but the learning experience is what counts the most.

Today was the Annual Rural Safety Day for 3rd graders in Baraboo. Students went to various stations to learn about safety in the areas of water, farm, electrical, chemical, bike, ATV/UTV, gun, seat belt, and fire. Each station had great demonstrations and valuable information. It was a cold windy day, but students did great! A warm bus ride home and tired kids topped off our day.

Great demonstration of what could happen to an arm or leg if too close to farm machinery!

Student teams used their knowledge of Force and Motion to design and create a Domino course using Dominies, Hot Wheels tracks, and other various materials. Lots of patience and tweaking. So proud of their efforts and perseverance! Check out all the videos below of the action.

It is okay if your Domino course doesn’t work exactly how you wanted it to. Keep working out the kinks!
