USTP (Union of Student Teachers and Professionals)
Introduction:
Union of Student Teachers and Professionals (said USTP hereafter) was founded in 1998 under the guidance and supervision of Sir Rafaqat Ali. The vision of organization is to prevent the talent of the region (Safdarabad, District Sheikhupura) from moral and economic hardships and to enhance the abilities of the region to produce effec
tive personals in every field of life. It is necessary for a talented student to have strong knowledge of fields in which he/she can serve the humanity. So it was felt to make a chain among students, learning in the institution, their teachers and the ones who are in different professional fields. By making this chain students are highly motivated towards their goals by seeing the practical examples in the fields of Engineering, Medical, Armed Forces, and Civil Services. To achieve this goal organization started several projects;
1. Al-Rahman School of Alpha Studies (ASAS) Boys Campus
3. Al-Rahman School of Alpha Studies (ASAS) Girls Campus
4. Al-Rahman School of Alpha Studies (ASAS) Boys Campus Phase II
Main hardship in the course of a talented student is economical burden. Parents of many talented students cannot afford the educational expenditures of their kids. To tackle this problem USTP initiate a project named Zaheen Tulba Scholarship (said ZTS hereafter). Focus of this project is to minimize the economic burden of the talented students who cannot afford their educational expenditures. More than 100 students are benefitted by this project from 1998-2017. The scholarship is awarded to the needy students from secondary level of education to the professional institutes. An institution named ASAS was established firstly under USTP and ZTS to capture talent of the region. In this institution talented students are guided and motivated towards their goals (from secondary level to professional institutes) through different educational and motivational activities in which all the three i.e. Students, Teachers and Professionals participate. In this institution students are meant to be the focus point of the all concerns. Teachers are responsible for the enhancement of educational, mental, moral and technical abilities of the students and the Professionals from different fields (mostly students of institution) are responsible for motivation and guidance of students as well as for economic support of the students where needed. In 2014 the project was enhanced for the girls also and a campus of ASAS was established in Safdarabad to bring the talented girls of the community on the front line of competition. This project is funded by USTP. Firstly, the said institution only covers secondary level of education but holds the duties to guide the students up to professional institutions (by both moral and economic support). But a couple of year ago it was needed to enhance the project to higher secondary level. So, ASAS Phase II was launched in 2015 to facilitate the students of the institution in their hometown. Main focus of Phase II is to minimize the hardships in the path of success of a student in the form of travelling, living away from home and different social impacts which may reduce their potential towards their goals.
