The International College of Health Sciences and Liberal Arts (ICHSLA) is established as a project of the Foresight Foundation International (FFI).

The International College of Health Sciences and Liberal Arts is established as an education project of the Foresight Foundation International in its effort to innovate for tomorrows HEaD (Health, Education and Development) in developing nations in Africa, Asia and Latin America. This project begins with certain programme that will achieve immediate increase in numbers of responsible workforce and stakeholders in health and development activities in Nigeria and other African countries using best and most effective methods. Support facilities will be obtained via several means including cooperation, affiliation and partnerships. The hallmark of the College activities is to effectively prepare young students for a solid and excellent academic foundation for their university studies and produce skilled graduates, informed artisans and knowledgeable professionals who shall be committed to development. They will be responsibly functional, appreciate concerns for others, respectful and prudent. These form important competences the College will inculcate in its trainees.

FFI- Scholarship Support for Drug Vendors in Nigeria

Foresight Foundation International, FFI, Nigeria, an NGO aiming to innovate for tomorrow's Health, Education and Development, announces scholarship supports for Drug Vendors in Nigeria interested in undertaking certificate course in Patent and Proprietary Medicine Management (PPMM) offered by International College of Health Sciences and Liberal Arts (ICHSLA), Ijebu Ode Nigeria. This scholarship is offered to encourage educational training of the vendors to be able to contribute to health care services in the country. A sum of 3.5 million naira (N3,500,000).for 150 trainees has been allocated to ICHSLA to promote drug vendors training in Nigeria. The students who shall be benefactors of the scholarship must be eligible for admission in the college. The first 50 and the next 100 qualified candidates will be offered a sum of N30,000 and N20,000 tuition support fund for the 2016/2017 admission.

Those who are currently drug vendors registered with the National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers in any state in Nigeria and fresh entrants with minimum qualification of secondary school leaving certificate are eligible to apply.

The pre nursing entry coaching is also staring this semester, November 2015, especially for those who will be sitting entry examination into Nursing Schools in Nigeria. In addition, remedial study programme for adults and Artisans are available in the College.

International College of Health Sciences and Liberal Arts (ICHSLA)- a project of Foresight Foundation International (FFI), Nigeria, is collaborating with Kampala International University(KIU), Uganda, to increase access to higher education of Nigerian students. It is pathetic to note that over 600,000 qualified candidates do not have admissions yearly in Nigeria. By 2024, about 8 million potential candidates for higher education will not have access if necessary actions are not taken. ICHSLA and KIU is working hard to offer, for a start, admissions to 400 qualified candidates to study medicine, pharmacy, nursing sciences, public health, law, accounting, economics, development studies, education management, education, and other courses. Admission is on going for January 2015 and classes will start January 19, 2015. Dear Colleagues and well wishers of the College,

This is to announce to you that ICHSLA has successfully established collaboration with Kampala International University (KIU), Uganda. The aim is to increase access to university education of Nigerians and other students in West Africa who wish to commence their higher learning in various disciplines. These disciplines include medicine, pharmacy, nursing, computer sciences, information technology, biomedical sciences- physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, anatomy, microbiology. Courses in social and management sciences including Finance and accounting, Economics, development studies, human resource management and many such more. Students who are interested in Law and Education programmes can also apply.

Admission into over 90 undergraduate courses has commenced. This admission is for January 2015. Please endeavour to circulate the information and support the campaign to reduce the population of over 400,000 students yearly that do not have access to university education in Nigeria.

The students who would have spent a semester of Degree Foundation Course training, studying with ICHSLA on this collaboration, and are interested in these programmes have provision to transfer their credits to the University programme in Kampala, Dar es Salaam and Nairobi campuses.

As KIU in another collaboration with Virtual University of Uganda floats virtual platforms for studying in any part of the world, distance will no longer be barrier to your studying on this increasing access project and obtaining credible degrees.

ICHSLA is monitoring admission into the Universities and other higher Institutions of learning in Nigeria. Recognizing that not all potential candidates will have admission for degrees and postgraduate studies of their interests, ICHSLA has opened opportunities for you to be admitted into Universities overseas with which it has Memorandum of Understanding. You can study with convenience under different mode and earn quality training still. Dear Colleagues,

The International College of Health Sciences and Liberal Arts (ICHSLA)- a newly established College of higher learning established in Ijebu Ode, Nigeria, and its management is currently calling for support and raising funds to support the first phase education programmes in nursing sciences,community health, computer sciences, theatre arts and communication, power technology and energy science, and pharmacy technician trainings it is starting in August 2014. The material supports like books donation, and funds, are to build the skills labs and especially for the training of health workers in the college, starting with nursing, pharmacy, energy science and theatre/communication skills

The difference this college in bringing on board is building of critical minds in the students promoted by sense of responsibility, transformational education framework and ethics, and innovation capabilities for such trainees to be self confident and well equiped. They will solidly work hard to improve living standards and health of the people in Nigeria, create jobs and wealth for themselves and their communities. Nigeria appears to have exhausted the employments opportunities created in the very first 40 years of her independence and a sustainable programme for jobs is yet to be in place; unhealthy politics further compound the situation. It is time now that institutions of higher learning build what is missing in governance of state and nation, in indivudual capabilities as a new way to jump start a new Nigeria of jobs, wealth and economic sufficiency and positive advances in health, technology, industry and social influences. This is one way to fight poverty, diseases and disasters, hence the new approach of ICHSLA. These indivuduals will form critical mass of innovators and transformed generation.

The college management wishes to humbly request you to kindly participate in the fund raising for and support its agenda toward a long term fight against poverty, diseases and unemployment, and eventual contribution to rebuilding the nation. Facilities, equipments and and wares to support skill acquisition in health sciences and the liberal arts disciplines will be highly appreciated.
