This conversation is highly important. How do we create the systems to make all voices heard? How is leadership evolving to push equality in the modern workplace?
You may have heard a snippet of our conversation with Lindsay-Rae McIntyre, the Chief Diversity Officer at Microsoft, as part of the Decoding Disruptors: Race Forward special episode we published about a month ago. But, we wanted to release the full conversation here as well - because there is so much more we touch on.

New Year's Resolutions... they can help, but I find there's a better way to go about them.
Set a clear INTENTION for your year. Who do you want to become? How do you want to approach this new year? What mental skills can you apply in 2021 that you learned in 2020?
Where do you even start with answering those questions?! Well, let's do this exercise together.

A note from Dr. Mike -
All revolutions must first begin with an internal one.
I had a series of conversations with friends inside our community who are deeply engaged in the struggle for racial equality. The purpose -- to explore how we can build the internal skillsets to create the change we want to see in the world.
The events of this summer plunged us into a period of racial reckoning and soul searching. Waves of protests and demonstrations across the globe pushed race to the center of our social discourse.
People are hopeful that this complex, fraught moment is the beginning of a real meaningful movement towards racial equality.
But, change starts within. The beliefs, attitudes, and stories that we carry shape the lens through which we see others, and ourselves.
I’m honored to be doing this special episode of the Finding Mastery podcast in partnership with Microsoft.
I hope you appreciate the lived experiences and applied insights of these remarkable leaders as much as I do.

The constant loop of leadership 🔁
Prepare: Sharpening our mindset skills – calm, confidence, deep focus, the ability to trust oneself in any moment – enables us to eloquently respond to the unfolding, unpredictable unknown.
Respond: Our most powerful response in the midst of crisis is to be present, so we can see through the distortion or distraction and identify the truth of what is happening. From that place we can respond, rather than react.
Re-imagine: It’s critical to uncover the opportunities for growth and innovation. Resilience is not only about being able to overcome the unexpected; it is the ability to bounce back quickly from challenges and thrive in new conditions.
