Baby animals help UC community de-stress

Staff and students at the University of Canberra have celebrated Mental Health and Wellbeing Day with a number of events held on campus including a petting zoo, book stall and barbeque lunch.
The University was one of 36 Australian and New Zealand Universities participating in the annual event held on 8 October.

Halloween celebrations had wrapped up for the year but that didn't deter the undead from swarming through Canberra's city centre.
The Canberra Zombie Walk, now in its second year, saw hundreds limp and shuffle from Regatta Point to Garema Place. The purpose of this activity is raising fund for Brain Foundation.

The University of Canberra's Building 5, home to the famous Futuro flying saucer has been officially opened by ACT Senator Zed Seselja and University of Canberra Chancellor Tom Calma AO on 14 October 2014.
It is the only university in Australia to have its own flying saucer.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has reported that the Australian Capital Territory of Canberra in Australia is the best place in the world for living.
OECD ranked 362 regions of its 34 member nations such as USA, Canada, Norway and Sweden in its survey, and it used nine measures of wellbeing, including income, education, jobs, safety, health and environment.
