SHRM provides opportunities for students to network on the local and state level through our student chapter. SHRM student chapters have regular meetings with scheduled programs designed to help members learn more about careers in HR management and the real world of business. We are one of more than 450 affiliated SHRM student chapters that offer a nationally recognized group here at campus. The activities involved with SHRM include learning more about surrounding businesses while building relationships with local professionals and surrounding businesses through company tours, student conferences, resume/interviewing workshops, business professional speakers, internship opportunities, social events, and volunteer activities. Unlike many other organizations here on campus, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) is nationally recognized - so no matter where you end up after you graduate, being associated with SHRM will help distinguish your resume versus other candidates for positions.
