We have made the final preparations for our 2026 McDougall School Easter Egg hunt! The hunt starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp tomorrow morning (Friday April 3rd) but from 8:30 on you can buy raffle tickets, baked items and breakfast sandwiches. There will be also be face painting and free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Our event runs rain or shine! All of the events take place inside the school except for the hunt itself which will be outdoors. Thanks to our very generous families and community businesses!

Today ELK students celebrated National Crayon Day by creating adorable bunny shaped crayons using broken crayons from their classroom. What a wonderful way to recycle materials while making something fun and useful!

Grade 4 students at McDougall are studying rocks and minerals and had the opportunity this week to participate in a 'Mining Matters' workshop through the NNDSB 'Skills at Work' program.

Indigenous Language students at McDougall School studied the work of artist Norval Morrisseau and then created images celebrating and experimenting with aspects of his style of art.

NPSSTS has cancelled buses for all weather corridors today.
At this time, all schools remain open for students who can get there safely. Parents are reminded that cancelled bus routes will not run in the afternoon; any students brought to school by other means must be picked up at the end of the school day.

McDougall students had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Snow Wolf Gooni Ma'iingan - Cross Country Ski Race held at GNOAC today. Thanks to our staff, parent and community volunteers for making this event possible!
