He ran unopposed in the election.

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the management, staff, and pupils of St. Edward’s Secondary School announce the tragic and untimely passing of Femi H. Kargbo, who tragically passed away as a result of drowning on Saturday, May 16th.

​Until his sudden demise, Femi was a such a promising pupil. As a pupil in SSS1 Commercial 1, Femi was academic talented, full of potential, and possess an exemplary character. Just a few days ago, Femi received his termly report card, achieving the highest average score among his peers.

​His loss leaves a massive void in our classrooms and our hearts.

​We extend our deepest condolences to Femi’s family, classmates, and friends during this incredibly difficult time. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

The Old Edwardian Association (FBC Chapter) in collaboration with St. Joseph’s Ex-Pupils (FBC Chapter) organized a health Walk under the theme, “Drugs Destroy Dreams (3D).

The 3D Health Walk was successfully conducted as a strategic community outreach and physical fitness initiative. The event served as a unified platform for the Old Edwardian Association and the St. Joseph’s Ex-Pupils FBC Chapters to advocate against the rising tide of drug abuse within our society. The walk combined physical wellness with social activism, successfully mobilizing a diverse group of stakeholders to promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle.

The objectives of this event cuts across raising public awareness regarding the devastating effects of drug abuse on youth and national development, fostering a spirit of collaboration between the alumni associations of Freetown’s historic "brother and sister" institutions, and promoting physical fitness as a vital component of mental and social health.

The event saw a high turnout, characterized by exemplary discipline and enthusiasm. Participants included were, Alumni members and current students from both institutions, professional security personnel and health partners were on-site to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the route, and media representatives were present to document the event and amplify the anti-drug message to a wider audience.

In his closing address, the President of the Old Edwardian Association FBC Chapter, Mr. Momodu Bangura, expressed profound gratitude to all contributors, including those who provided moral support from afar. He emphasized that the fight against drug abuse is ongoing and requires sustained commitment.

Baba Sillah and Alhaji Umar Kamara, both of whom from SS2 Science one (1) represented the St Edward's Secondary School and won the science world live practicals.

The live practical quiz cut across physics and Chemistry.
