Our KS2 classes are preparing for end of year tests. We worked on function machines, using inverse operations and rules for solving questions.
We also worked on calculating and generating expressions with a support sheet to show children how to do these.

Fantastic work from our P2/P3 children. When it clicks and all comes together, it is very rewarding for both pupils and myself. A great improvement in Phonics sounds and blends, spelling, reading and writing. We focused on “igh, ie, I and y with the I sounds”. These children are doing P4 Spellings. Their hard work is paying off. This is an excellent class to help children with correct letter formation, phonics recognition, how to sound out and blend words, reading and spellings. That’s a wrap, pardon the pun! Just showcasing the work we have covered on Fractions over the last few weeks and fair play to all the children that have worked right up to Christmas week. Your hard work is paying off.

I was delighted to have a visit over the weekend from a past pupil who has moved on to her post primary school. A great girl in every way who took time to come visit. We had a lovely chat about how she’s getting on in her new school. Children move on but I always love to hear how they are getting on and was touched she came back to see me. Thank you Eabha and your lovely Mum for your kindness. It made my weekend.xx

Super star work from a P1 girl. She just kept going and looking for more work in our Phonics Class. This class focuses on correct letter formation and learning Phonic sounds and how to blend them. A fantastic class for early years, (amazing how quickly children progress) and for any older children who may struggle with reading and spellings. I got a lovely message from a parent whose child has continued classes during summer holidays. No summer slide for this boy. I can’t stress the importance of reading, even during the holidays. Hard work always pays off.
