🌳🍃 Tiger Class had a fantastic Forest School morning! 🍃🌳

The children had lots of fun exploring, playing, and learning outdoors. We noticed that the forest looked very different from our last visit, giving us plenty of opportunities to spot changes in nature and talk about what might have caused them. 🍂🌿

It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, curious, and enjoying their time in the great outdoors! 😊🐞🌲

🌊🗺️ Geography in Lion Class! 🗺️🌊

Today, Lion Class learned all about the different courses and features of a river. Working collaboratively in groups, the children created models representing different stages of a river's journey. 🤝🏞️

Once each group had completed their section, they combined their work to create one fantastic river model, showing how a river changes from its source to its mouth. 🌱➡️🌊

The children demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity and geographical understanding throughout the lesson. Well done, Lion Class! 👏⭐

In computing, Jaguar Class programmed their micro:bits to become counters. They added ways to count both up and down, reset the counter to zero and display the count on the screen.

In music, Jaguar Class have been practising playing the chords A major, D major and E major. They worked together to learn the chords and even played them alongside a South African song, keeping to the beat

We are delighted to share that Blue from Carleton Rode and Keeva from Forncett were nominated as School Ambassadors🌟 and invited to attend a celebratory lunch hosted by Bishop Graham Usher and his wife, Rachel, at the Bishop’s House Garden 🌿 in Norwich on Tuesday.

Both pupils received this recognition for their outstanding contributions 🙌 and the wonderful values 💙 they consistently embody as members of our school community.

In Design and Technology 🛠️, Jaguar Class 🐆 have been challenged to design a multi-tool for an explorer 🧭, incorporating features such as a pedometer 👣, compass 🧭, GPS tracker 📍 and other helpful navigation tools.
This week, they applied their computing skills 💻 to programme micro:bits, transforming them into working compasses. We then tested their creations against traditional magnetic compasses 🧲🧭 to see just how accurate they were — with some impressive results! 🌟👏

Yesterday in D.T., Lion Class had a fantastic time baking biscuits! 🍪
The children worked incredibly hard, practising a range of skills including weighing, mixing, sifting, and even separating an egg — not an easy task!
We’ve had very positive feedback, and it sounds like their biscuits were absolutely delicious. Well done, Lion Class! 👏

🌍💚 Eco Day Highlights! 💚🌍
We had such a fantastic Eco Day yesterday—here are some snapshots from a brilliant day of learning and action! 📸✨

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ We had a lovely walk to school first thing, enjoying the fresh air and thinking about greener ways to travel. 🌿

🌡️📊We got busy with some Eco Maths! Using data loggers, we measured temperatures across different rooms in the school. We’ve fed this information back to Mrs Brosnihan so adjustments can be made to heating and radiators—helping us reduce energy waste. Amazing work. 💡♻️

✉️📝 Thoughtful letters were written to our local MP, Adrian Ramsay. They shared their ideas about plastic pollution and suggested ways to improve recycling. Inspiring voices for the future! 🌊🐢

🌼🌱 We finally had a creative afternoon in activities—making seed paper bombs ready to be planted and grow into beautiful wildflowers 🌸, as well as some wonderful bee drinkers 🐝💧 to support our local wildlife.

What a brilliant day of learning, creativity and taking action for our planet! 🌎✨
