The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is seeking a new Head of the DAAD Information Centre in Sydney.

As the world’s largest funding organisation for international academic cooperation, DAAD promotes Germany as a leading destination for study and research. The Information Centre in Sydney supports students, researchers, and universities by providing guidance on academic opportunities in Germany, advising on funding programmes, and fostering strong alumni connections.

In this role, you will work with a small, experienced team to represent DAAD within the Australian higher education landscape, build strategic partnerships, and further strengthen academic cooperation between Germany and Australia.

Study online, connect with experienced teachers, and work through STEM subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry or IT — all while preparing for university life in Germany 🇩🇪.

Programme highlights:

• FIT Schools
• PASCH Schools

🎓 Outstanding bachelor’s graduates may also apply for master’s funding.

The DAAD Study Visits for Academics – Artists and Architects funding programme supports short-term stays (up to 3 months) at German host institutions 🇩🇪.

📚 International Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme 2026/2027
Applications are now open for the International Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme, supporting PhD research in German-Jewish history and culture (October 2026–September 2027).

The programme is organised by the Leo Baeck Institute London, the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow, and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

🎓 Funding includes:
• €1,650 monthly stipend
• €100 monthly research allowance
• Optional supplements for health insurance, childcare, travel, and tuition fees abroad
