🎓 Over the past few weeks, the DAAD Information Centre Sydney has been excited to take part in the National Learning Abroad Fair Circuit across Sydney!

We loved meeting so many enthusiastic students, alumni, and university staff at the Think Global Fair (UTS) and the Exchange Expo (UNSW). The strong interest in Germany as a destination for study and research was truly inspiring. 🇩🇪

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is seeking a new Head of the DAAD Information Centre in Sydney.

As the world’s largest funding organisation for international academic cooperation, DAAD promotes Germany as a leading destination for study and research. The Information Centre in Sydney supports students, researchers, and universities by providing guidance on academic opportunities in Germany, advising on funding programmes, and fostering strong alumni connections.

In this role, you will work with a small, experienced team to represent DAAD within the Australian higher education landscape, build strategic partnerships, and further strengthen academic cooperation between Germany and Australia.

Eligible graduates include students from:

🎓 Outstanding bachelor’s graduates may also apply for master’s funding.

📚 International Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme 2026/2027
Applications are now open for the International Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme, supporting PhD research in German-Jewish history and culture (October 2026–September 2027).

The programme is organised by the Leo Baeck Institute London, the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow, and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

🎓 Funding includes:
• €1,650 monthly stipend
• €100 monthly research allowance
• Optional supplements for health insurance, childcare, travel, and tuition fees abroad
