Slip of Tongue Our tongues don't slip to stammers, they slip to metaphors. A group of spoken word artists from Delhi, liberating our hearts through poetry. Slam. Liberate.

'Slip of tongue: Things to do with words' is an initiative founded by Diksha Bijlani, Prateek Pandey, Natasha Ahuja, Somesh Thapliyal, Cheryl Mukherji, Ishaan Chawdhary, Zahra Husaini, and Shrey Maurya. We are a collective of poetry enthusiasts, who liberate themselves through spoken word poetry. Some days, we are poets loud enough to reach out to the shore. Other days though we are normal people,

caught up in the unartistic patterns of education systems. Which is to say we get lost in words and come out with poetry. Which is to say we know things are like other things, but can't help making it more obvious. Slip of Tongue is a group centred primarily around spoken word, the art of performance poetry. We use our tongues as weapons that we fire with our words, aiming for the hearts and minds. Which is to say we use poetry as a catalyst, for change, for intellectual and emotional stimulation. We believe in the universal unity of Art, with a conviction that poetry- poetry is everywhere. On the days that you spot us loitering around town, spitting rhymes with rhythms and words with fire, give us a click of your finger, a snap or two. We promise to make it worth your while. smile emoticon

Write. Love,
Team SOT.
