Proud of our alumna from Literature and Cultural Studies! Congratulations and best wishes for your PhD!

Another moment of pride for the Department of English and Humanities as we congratulate Sanjida Kalam for completing her Masters in English from the University of North Dakota where she was awarded the Bill Karmen Purcell Linguistics Scholarship for her outstanding result.

Sanjida will begin her PhD program in Fall 2026 at New Mexico State University in Rhetoric and Professional Communication where she has received full tuition waiver with assistantship for 5 years.

Sanjida is an alumna of the ULAB MA in English program (Literature and Cultural Studies track).

DEH organized Summer 2026 Graduate Student Seminar on Saturday, 20 June 2026 at ULAB Mohammadpur campus. 7 students from 3 tracks presented their best work in this seminar from the last term.

Professor Kaiser Haq, the Dean of School of Arts and Humanities and Ms. Arifa Ghani Rahman the Head of Department of English and Humanities as well as the faculty members and students were present in the event. The Dean and the HoD handed over certificates to all graduate presenters at the end of the seminar.
