Perseverance, or Sabr, is a vital virtue in Islam that plays a crucial role in the pursuit of knowledge, particularly in the Islamic field. Sabr is often translated as patience, but it encompasses a broader meaning that includes perseverance, endurance, and steadfastness.
In the context of learning, Sabr is essential for overcoming the challenges and obstacles that inevitably arise. Seeking knowledge is a lifelong journey, and it requires dedication, persistence, and resilience. When faced with difficulties or setbacks, a student with Sabr will persevere, remaining committed to their goals and trusting in Allah's guidance

Enthusiasm plays a significant role in seeking knowledge. When a student approaches learning with Hirs, they are driven by a strong desire to acquire knowledge and understand new concepts. This eagerness fuels their motivation, enabling them to tackle challenging subjects with zeal and dedication.
With al-hirs, students are more likely to be proactive in their learning, seeking out opportunities to engage with the material and explore new ideas. They are also more likely to ask questions, seek clarification, and engage in discussions, which helps to deepen their understanding and retain information.
Moreover, al-hirs helps students to overcome obstacles and stay committed to their goals, even when faced with difficulties or setbacks. By maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude, students can stay motivated and focused, ultimately achieving greater success in their pursuit of knowledge.

Ikhlās is a fundamental concept in Islam that plays a crucial role in seeking knowledge. When a student seeks knowledge with ikhlās, they are motivated by a genuine desire to learn and understand, rather than seeking personal gain, recognition, or praise. This purity of intention allows them to focus solely on acquiring knowledge for the sake of Allah, leading to a deeper understanding and retention of the material.
Seeking knowledge with ikhlās also leads to a stronger connection to the subject matter and a greater sense of purpose and motivation. When one's intention is pure, they are more likely to be enthusiastic and dedicated to their studies, recognizing the value and importance of the knowledge they are seeking. Moreover, ikhlās protects students from the pitfalls of seeking knowledge for personal gain or recognition, ensuring that their efforts are rewarded and their intentions remain sincere.
Ultimately, seeking knowledge with ikhlās requires honesty with oneself about one's motivations and intentions. It demands a willingness to let go of personal interests and desires, and instead, focus on the pursuit of knowledge for its own sake. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Actions are according to their intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what they intend." By seeking knowledge with ikhlās, students can ensure that their efforts are rewarded and that they are motivated by a pure and sincere intention.

To succeed on the path of knowledge, a student must possess certain essential traits. These include humility, curiosity, perseverance, discipline, respect, critical thinking, and a genuine love for knowledge. By cultivating these qualities, a student of knowledge can set themselves up for success and make the most of their learning journey.
However, possessing these traits is only half the battle. To truly excel, a student of knowledge must also emulate the successful scholars who have come before them. This means studying their lives, experiences, and habits, and learning from their triumphs and setbacks. By following in the footsteps of these accomplished scholars, a student can gain valuable insights and practical wisdom that will help them navigate their own path of knowledge.

MBA-LSQ (Majma'u L-Bahrayn Academy for the Language and Science of the Qur'an)
One of my esteemed Mashāyikh always asks me about my plans for utilizing my knowledge and encourages me to establish something meaningful to serve Islām. In 2020, during my NYSC days, one of my sisters who had relocated to the UK introduced me to her husband, and I began teaching her and her children remotely.
This humble beginning eventually grew, and I established the Majma'u L-Bahrayn Academy (MBA). Shortly after its inception, a generous brother approached me with a proposal for a Sadaqah Jāriyah. He wanted to sponsor a certain number of students to study in memory of his late mother. I accepted his offer and reached out to those who had expressed interest in the Madrasah but couldn't afford the fees.
Although only a few students completed the program, the brother later approached me with a similar proposal. This time, I suggested that he provide the funds directly to support the Madrasah and its existing students, after I explained some projects we had in mind and our experience in the last one hosted. He understood and agreed.
Recently, a sister contacted me with another proposal, and after careful consideration, I decided to extend the opportunity to the Muslim community. I will soon share a link for interested participants. I intend to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process, as this is a Amānah.
I posted a Video few months ago of me recording a session, Explaining in details the Book of Dr. V. 'AbdurRahīm, Durūsu lLugah, the project would require a lot of time and resources, I also introduced her to this project, but she insisted and promises that subsequently we would work om the project together. I ask Allah to ease our affairs. Āmīn
Acquiring knowledge requires sacrifice, time, and dedication. If you're unable to commit to this program, please don't apply. May Allah accept this endeavor as an act of 'Ibādah. Āmīn
