Vizag Aero Modelling (VAM) is a hobby club established to promote the exciting hobby of Aero Modelling among school and college going students. VAM presently conducts basic aero modelling workshops involving differrent manual mechanical powered model flights which would be built by the students themselves using kits provided by VAM. The workshops come in different formats ranging from summer camps
to simple one day workshops. Our expert faculty are on a mission to stoke the inner scientific temperament of every student by encouraging the students to focus on the practical applications of the theoretical science taught in the schools. Aero modelling is also one of the most popular hobbies across the world engaging some of the brightest minds. Aero modelling is the design, construction and flying of model planes. Model Aviation’s power to excite the imagination and generate enthusiasm has made it a truly international activity with thousands of participants and hundreds of ongoing activities worldwide. Today, one can build model airplanes of incredible realism and fly them as expertly as a real pilot sitting at the controls. Aero modelling is a wonderful form of self-expression that gradually leads to a successful career as a Pilot, Aircraft Designer, Aeronautical Engineer, etc. We offer a Basic Aero modelling programme titled “Junior Engineer Programme”, which covers all the basic fundamentals involved in the theory of flight and equips students with the essential skills to build their own model air crafts and experience the joy of giving wings to their own hand built creations. All the students participating in the workshops would be presented with an Aero Modellers Association (AMA), India approved certificates.
