The Maine Odyssey of the Mind Board of Directors came together on July 19th for the Annual Meeting. An exciting year ahead means a weeks worth of announcements starting now!

We are thrilled to announce that Maine Odyssey of the Mind has received its first-ever grant, generously provided by a private trustee group dedicated to supporting youth development and educational innovation.

This milestone investment will play a transformative role in our mission; to support all students by providing opportunities to take risks, think in unique ways, and grow in an environment that encourages them to become confident, collaborative individuals.

The grant funds will be used to:

1. Launch new Odyssey of the Mind memberships in rural and underserved communities.

2. Provide training and support to stabilize and strengthen existing programs and memberships.

3. Expand access and outreach efforts to bring Odyssey of the Mind to even more students and educators.

"This grant is a powerful reminder that when communities invest in creativity, collaboration, and kids, incredible things happen," said Jason Wheeler, Association Director of Maine Odyssey of the Mind. "Partnerships like this allow us to reach students who may not otherwise have access to enrichment opportunities, and help ensure that every child can discover their voice, their talents, and the joy of solving problems together."

We are deeply grateful to our grantors for believing in the power of creativity and teamwork to shape young minds. This is just the beginning!
