I know it has been a while since the last volunteer opportunity email. Things have been hard as we all adjust to our new normal. We want to be able to help our community while maintaining safe social distancing practices. For the foreseeable future we will be sending out volunteer opportunities that we can do from home.
The first volunteer opportunity I want to share is called UPchieve, which provides free online tutoring and college counseling to low income high school students. With students out of school, this is more important than ever!!
This is how it works:
Select the times you’re available and the subjects you’d like to help students with.
Get a text from UPchieve when a student needs your help.
Work one-on-one with the student in our virtual classroom, providing urgent academic support.

We love volunteering with Habitat for Humanity! Our volunteers learned some masonry and even repaired a hole in the side of a building last weekend. Great work, everyone!
