Thanks to all who presented and attended this year’s conference! There were some terrific presentations and lots of lively discussions, on topics that ranged from Kristine Larsen’s excellent paper on Tolkien and Cheddar Gorge, to Anthony Burdge and Russell Palmieri’s discussion of The Hobbit Stage Play. Jeff LaSala gave a great talk about his book The Silmarillion Primer, and Artist Guest of Honor Donato Giancola finished the day with a presentation, “Taking Tolkien at his Word,” on various depictions of Middle-earth....
