As an AVMA-accredited university, the Royal Veterinary College is also proud to have a chapter of SAVMA (Student American Veterinary Medical Association), the representative body for veterinary students in the US. SAVMA is dedicated to fostering unity and collaboration between veterinary students. The 28 schools in the US, 3 schools in the Caribbean, 3 schools in the UK, and 1 school in Canada can

work together to exchange ideas, encourage professionalism, and empower each other to improve the veterinary profession. At the RVC, SAVMA also serves as a liaison between SAVMA and any students who are interested in pursuing clinical rotations or a career in the US. All students, whether American, British, or other international, are welcome and encouraged to come to our meetings and events.

Are you a home baker just waiting to show off your skills? Have you been in dire need of some sweet treats to give you some motivation this term? Well look no further than the Great RVC Baking Show. RVC SAVMA is hosting a delicious dessert auction with all proceeds benefitting the South Hertfordshire RSPCA. ‘How can I help?’, you may ask. You can either bring a dessert to be auctioned off to your fellow RVC students, or attend just to bid on some incredible sweets. There are some great prizes up for grabs for the top bakers (details on the Google form), and a SAVMA point will be offered to all attendees.
