Our paper entitled "A PubMed search filter for efficiently retrieving exercise training studies" has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodologies. The genesis of this study was that I was curious as to whether we could develop a search string in PubMed that led to enriched selection of exercise training studies, amidst all the studies of acute exercise. Our "search filter" obtains improved results compared with commonly used simple strings. I am proud of the efforts that three undergraduate researchers, David Yin, Mikaela Engracia, and Matthew Edema, put forth in completing this study. I thank the BC Association of Kinesiologists for a grant that supported this research.
