Meet the Carteret Community College Leadership Team!
Last week we hosted our first annual CCC Student Leadership Academy. The event was designed as a way for the college to recognize and invest in leadership development among some of its best students. It is our hope that these students become more aware of their leadership potential and the impact their actions have on our community.
Faculty and staff nominated students, and 20 participants were selected after a committee review of a recommendation letter, academic performance, and social engagement in various student organizations.
Friday's event featured a series of four leadership-development workshops that focused on a theme of "strengthening our community." Saturday featured hands-on leadership activities at Sea to Sound in Pine Knoll Shores.
